Office Coffee Machine Maintenance Checklist
Daily, weekly and monthly tasks to keep your bean-to-cup machine running reliably — plus the warning signs that mean it's time for a service.
Daily tasks
Empty the drip tray and grounds drawer. Wipe the steam wand (fresh milk only) and run the rinse cycle. Check water and bean levels.
Weekly tasks
Run the machine's automated cleaning cycle with the manufacturer's cleaning tablets. For fresh milk, run a milk-line clean. Wipe the body and check the seal around the bean hopper.
Monthly tasks
Descale if your machine flags it (frequency depends on water hardness — softer water can stretch this to quarterly). Inspect the brew unit and clean if removable.
Warning signs
Slow flow, weak shots, gritty texture, error codes that don't clear after a reboot, milk frothing inconsistency or visible leaks all warrant a service visit. Don't push through these — small faults become expensive failures quickly.
